Mr and Mrs Murphy | Garden Party Wedding in Augusta, GA
Last November, I had the pleasure of working with Logan and Shane to document their intimate garden party wedding in Augusta, GA. When I first met with Logan to discuss her vision for their wedding day, she described it as a twilight wedding immersed in nature with sunset colors (orange, red, yellow, etc). Here are just a few of the key elements that the couple was looking for in their wedding photography:

First touch with a “First Shot” before the ceremony

Photos of their unique first dance
Their wedding was held at the Back to Nature Garden Center in Augusta, GA. It was a perfect November day before the chilly temperatures started to set in. There was a laid back vibe, mixed with wedding day excitement as the couple got ready for their big day with their closest friends and families.
I started the day capturing the bride’s detail elements, including this stunning embroidered veil from Belle Botanical Creations. Next, it was super important to Logan than her corgi, Sadie, was included in the wedding day. We made sure to get some pajama photos of Logan and Sadie, and some others throughout the day. Details quickly turned into portraits… starting with Shane and his groomsmen while the girls finished getting ready. Then we moved into the first look with the bride’s dad and brother, and then photos of just the girls!
Logan and Shane did not want to do a first look on their wedding day, but instead they chose to do a first touch and take a shot together before walking down the aisle. Their ceremony was intimate and cozy —nestled amongst the trees and surrounded by the most important people in their lives.
After the ceremony it was time for the moment they had all been waiting for —the party! Logan changed into a dress that gave her more freedom to dance the night away, and then she joined Shane for their first dance. The couples likes to play the video game Just Dance, so instead of a traditional dance they opted to perform their favorite Just Dance song. This was so unique and put a smile on everyones face for sure!
Logan and Shane danced the night away with their closest family and friends. I’m sure this night was a highlight of their life that they will remember for many years to come. I’m so thankful that they chose me to document their wedding day!
