Bridal Portraits at Bath Gardens in Blythe, GA | A Timeless Mother-Daughter Session
Today’s blog post is all about my friend (and bonus sister) Tracey! Twenty seven years ago she married her husband Mike straight out of high school and she has been dreaming of having her very own full bridal glam moment since then.
Last year, Tracey finally decided it was time to feel like a bride. She found this beautiful dress on Shein, she did her hair and makeup, her best friend Christina made a bouquet and we set off to do bridal portraits.
Tracey chose to do her bridal portrait photo session at Bath Gardens in Blythe, GA. This hidden gem, built in the 1960’s, feels like you stepped out of Augusta and stepped into the french countryside. The icon of the property is this expansive reflection pool that is fed by a natural spring. Several of the buildings on property are from the garden’s original era, while other structures have been build in recent years to make this historic garden a stunning wedding venue in Augusta, GA. This session was not only a bridal portrait session for Tracey. It was also a mommy and me photo session with her daughter Addison! Combining these two sessions made it even more special, and created photos that will be cherished and passed down for years to come.
While we stuck to the theme of french countryside and romantic bridals, we also made time for some fun…
On the day of the session, the weather took a turn that wasn’t ideal for photos. Just an hour before the session the sky turned cloudy and spots of rain moved through the area. We were worried we would get rained out, but you know what they say… rain is a sign of good luck on your wedding day!
While it did sprinkle throughout the session, it wasn’t a total downpour and the photos turned out beautifully in spite of the little droplets coming down.
I might say these about most of my sessions, but this bridal and mommy and me session at Bath Gardens is still one of my favorite sessions that I have ever done. I am so glad that I got to capture these memories for my girl Tracey, and I would be honored to do the same for you!
